WE WILL MAKE OJOKORO ROADS MOTORABLE, SAYS COUNCIL BOSS
The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (H.I.D) has promised to make roads in the LCDA motorable, as he has embarked on massive rehabilitation of roads within the Local Council Development Area.
In fulfilment of his administration’s promise to always ensure continuity of good governance by completing all the projects initiated during his previous administration, this has prompted Hon. Hammed Tijani’s decision to prioritize the grading of several roads across the Seven (7) wards in the LCDA, which are directly beneficial to the wellbeing of the good people in Ojokoro.
He said, “as the raining season is fast approaching, grading of these roads will address the perennial environmental and infrastructural challenges facing the community, including flooding”.
Some of the roads already graded across the wards includes, Okegbenro Street; Baale Adeshola street; Shola Martins street; Michael Alade street; Gasper Osagie street; Ogunshola street and Seyinsola street.
Some other roads graded are Tayo Makinde Street; Oliyide street; Taiwo street; Temple Road (Power Line) as well as Cole Street and Adigun street amongst others.
The grading of roads before the rainy season commence has continued in various streets across the Seven wards in the LCDA.
Meanwhile, the Council boss accompanied by the Council’s Legislators have embarked on an inspection tour to see how far rehabilitation work have gone in the various wards.
Leader of the Council’s Legislative House, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle, during the inspection tour, applauded the Chairman’s initiative, saying it would improve the quality of life and productivity of residents, reduce maintenance cost on vehicles, and reduce the cost of doing business and earning a livelihood in Ojokoro LCDA.
