PALLIATIVE 2… OJOKORO LCDA GIVES OUT COVID 19 CASH RELIEF

Residents of Ojokoro LCDA have been given cash palliative from the council authority to cushion the effect of the lockdown in the state.

The Council Boss, Hon Hammed Idowu D Tijani told newsmen at the presentation of the incentive in different wards said that there was a need to do more as the first round of palliative must have been exhausted by now. The palliative was disbursed with the help of the community development committee members. Hon Tijani said now was the time to show love to one another and thanked all those who have been assisting their neighbours.

He appealed for understanding from those who did not get the palliative as it was meant for the most vulnerable in the local council development area. The chairman urged the residents to continue to abide by the rules and regulations to curb the spread of covid-19 especially social distancing and regular hygiene.

The Community Development Committee Chairman, Alhaji Adeyemi Ismail,who represented the CDC Chairman Barrister Alabi at the event, appreciated the Council authority as the first to send out financial relief to residents.

Present at the COVID-19 cash relief presentation were the party Chairman, Ward Chairmen, Councillors,Community leaders and a host of other residents of the council area. The Council had earlier distributed food items as stimulus package to the residents few weeks back to cushion the effects of the pandemic.
