OJOKORO SKILLS ACQUISITION TRAINING CONTINUES

Ojokoro Local Council Development Area has flagged off another round of its skills acquisition training program commencing from today Tuesday,9th to Friday 12th of April at the council’s multipurpose Hall.

The council boss, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani who was represented by the Head of Administration of the council, Engr Tajudeen Afolabi urged the participants to take advantage of the programme, he also pointed out that job creation is one of the cardinal programme of Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani’s led administration.

In his words, “we will continue to create more opportunities for our people and ensure that they also become employer of labour.

Engineer Afolabi noted that the skills acquisition training programme is designed in such a way that the participants would be able to train others,especially members of their household,which would inturn generate source of revenue for them.

One of the beneficiaries of the programme, Mrs. Abiodun Nike appreciated the chairman and his cabinet for having good heart towards the people of OJOKORO lcda with the introduction of training on various skills.

The supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA)Alhaja Basirat Ojugbele expresses appreciation to the Executive chairman for giving the people the opportunity to be part of this laudable programme,having empowered the last batch of graduants with working tools and financial assistance.

She described the programme as highly complimentary to youths and women friendly which could actually sustained their homes if welll executed and maintained.

Training on starch production, perfume,jelly,deodorant,insecticide and other household products are part of the skills being imparted on the participants.
