OJOKORO COUNCIL MANAGER BAGS MERIT AWARD FROM NULGE LAGOS STATE CHAPTER
The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Lagos State Chapter, has honored Mr. Adeyemi Adebola Benjamin, the Council Manager of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), with a prestigious Merit Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to local government administration and public service in Lagos State.
Mr. Adeyemi has made a significant impact throughout his career, known for his innovative approach and dedication to improving local government operations. Among his many achievements, he drafted the “Gbale-Gbata” blueprint for Mushin Local Government, which became the basis for the PSP system in refuse management from 1996 to 1997 and introduced the Harmonized Billing System (HBS), a key initiative that increased revenue for Mushin Local Government from 1999 to 2001.
As Council Manager of Ojokoro LCDA, Mr. Adeyemi has demonstrated outstanding leadership and has played a crucial role in integrating the planning systems of Lagos State into all local governments, ensuring consistency in planning policies and operations. His commitment to public administration and budget planning has significantly enhanced the quality of service delivery within local governments across Lagos State.
The Merit Award from NULGE, Lagos State Chapter, underscores Mr. Adeyemi’s dedication and leadership. The award was received on his behalf by the Director, Education and Library Services, Mr Adesanya Morufu, who was accompanied by the management staff of Ojokoro LCDA, along with the NULGE Chairman of Ojokoro Chapter, Comrade Olaoti Jamiu, and other NULGE team members. Their presence at the ceremony reflected the high regard in which Mr. Adeyemi his held within the local government community.
Upon receiving the award, Mr. Adeyemi expressed his gratitude to NULGE, stating, “I am honored to receive this Merit Award from NULGE, Lagos State Chapter. This recognition is a testament to the collaborative efforts of my colleagues and the dedicated team in Ojokoro LCDA. I look forward to continuing our work to serve the people of Lagos State.”
