Ojokoro council boss presents 2018 budget
By The Executive chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon. Hammed Idowu Tijani (HID) on Tuesday 27th March. 2018 at the council secretariat presented 2018 annual budget tagged “Achieving Sustainable Development Through Infrastructural Renewal” to the legislative arm of government in Ojokoro LCDA.
HID while presenting his speech says ” year 2018 budget will propel the citizens to take advantage of opportunities that enhance people to have access to income, health and other social safety measures especially the most vulnerable i.e the youth, the widow/ aged, women folk etc “.
Therefore one of the objectives of sustainable development goal is to have sustainable citizens that provide opportunities for all, including access to basic services, hence the need for the community to ensure that the łess priviledge are not marginalized in terms of accessing all the services the local council has to offer
Hon. Tijani presents the budget size for 2018 financial year as N2,243,149,240.35 (Two billion, two hundred and forty three million, one hundred and forty nine thousand, two hundred and forty Naira and thirty five kobo)
The leader of the legislative council Hon.AbdoulAzeez Osho while commenting during the event says the house will ensure that they look at the budget properly and make sure that the development will be felt in all the seven wards constituting the LCDA and also stated that the approval of the budget does not take longer than necessary so that the people will continue with the dividends of democracy that are already being extended and enjoyed by them.
