Ojokoro Council Boss, Hon. HID Tijani presents 2023 budget
….Gives Councillors utility vehicles
The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) has presented the year 2023 budget proposal to the Council’s legislative house for consideration.
The Council Chairman stated that the year 2023 budget tagged ” Budget of Continuity and Infrastructural Renewal ” is going to be an advancement in the even distribution of dividends of democracy to the people.
He emphasised on the need to generate more revenue to purse of the council.
“We have a lot in-stock for the people but paucity of fund is a challenge. We are going to generate more reveue, block all loop holes for us to serve the people better”, he said.
Hon. Tijani urged the people of Ojokoro LCDA not to be scared, as he assured them that his administration will not increase the rates and levies due to the Council, but shall give more to the people in the area of developmental projects.
while receiving the budget proposal from the Chairman at the Council’s legislative chamber, leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle commended the Executive arm for embarking on impactful projects in all the seven wards in the LCDA.
He assured the Council boss that the House will give the budget proposal accelerated consideration in the interest of the people of Ojokoro LCDA.
In a related development, the Chairman also presented the Council’s legislators with official vehicles at the Council’s secretariat.
Speaking in an interview with pressmen immediately after the presentation, the Council boss stated that the vehicles were presented to the Councillors to aid and motivate them in the discharge of their legislative duties.
Hon. Tunde Oyekunle described the presentation of the utility vehicles by the Chairman as commendable, as he promised that both the Legislative and Executive arms of government in the Council will continue to work together in harmony for the benefit of the constituents.
Those present at the brief occasion includes members of the Council’s Executive Committee, management staff and some stakeholders in the LCDA.
