MAKINDE HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING, HID PLEDGES MORE SUPPORTS.
The Executive Chairman,Ojokoro local council development area, Hon Hammed Idowu D TIjani has appealed for the urgent completion of all the roads project embarked upon by the last administration in Lagos state.
He made the appeal during the Constituency stakeholders meeting organised by the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing ifako ijaiye 02,Hon Rasheed Makinde.
The Chairman who was ably represented by the leader of Ojokoro Legislative House, Hon Abdul Azeez Osho,gave kudos to Hon Makinde
for his giant strides at bringing various developmental projects to the lcda.
The council boss once again congratulated the Honourable house member for his landmark victory of returning to the house for the second time,noting that his meaningful impacts in Ojokoro lcda cannot be ignored.
Hon TIjani however urged him to continue agitating for more laudable projects to the lcda in order to take it to the greater level standard.
The Council boss further sought for assistance of the Lagos state government to build a secondary school for the community on the piece of land just purchased by the council at Akinyele street in Alakuko area of the lcda in order to alleviate the agonies of the pupils from trekking long distances to the few schools available within the lcda.
Delivering his speech Hon. Makinde expressed his appreciation to the constituents that graced the stakeholders’ meeting which is aimed at promoting legislators-constituents’ interactions and engagement; and engaging constituents In the art of governance and ensuring that their input counts in the affairs of the state.
The Lawmaker appealed to the residents to comply with the environmental laws of the state, embrace attitudinal change and join hands with the government in a renewed commitment to preserve the environment.
The Hon commissioner for physical planing and urban development, Dr Salako Idris appreciated the high turnout of the people to the event and reiterated the commitment and promise of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu,the Executive Governor of Lagos state in serving the people of the state.
Presents at the event were HRM Oba Rilwan Oluwalambe Taiwo JP, Oba of Ojokoro, Oba Hammed Saka Taiwo , Olorile of Orile Alagbado, APC stalwarts, the CDC Chairman, council legislative members, community leaders, market men and women artisans, traders, Supervisors of Ojokoro LCDA and host of others.
THE CHAIRMAN’S SPEECH
I am highly delighted to be part of this epoch making gathering which is another memorable occasion in the history of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area and Lagos state in general. Today, we all assembled for another edition of the Constituency Stakeholders’ meeting of the Lagos State House of Assembly, holding simultaneously in all the 40 constituencies in Lagos State.
First and foremost, we must give all thanks and adoration to God Almighty for His mercies and the grace to witness today’s occasion.
Similarly, all members of the Lagos State House of Assembly must be commended for the initiative to come up with the brilliant idea of this Constituency Stakeholders’ meeting, which is an avenue for all the lawmakers to give account of their stewardship and also update the public on the activities of the State House of Assembly, while it will equally afford the constituents the opportunity to present their requests to the Assembly, through their various elected representatives.
Having said all these, I wish to use this medium to publicly congratulate our own representative in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (TPL) Rasheed Olanrewaju Makinde, for the landslide victory recorded on his re-election into the most vibrant State House of Assembly in Nigeria, the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The resounding victory of Hon. Makinde is not a surprise to the people of Ojokoro LCDA, considering his numerous achievements during his first term in the Assembly.
I wish to commend him for the numerous developmental projects which are sited in Ojokoro LCDA through his efforts by the immediate past administration.
To remind you all, some of these projects include the various roads being constructed across all the seven wards in the LCDA, the construction of an overhead bridge (flyover) at Abule-Egba, the commencement of construction of another overhead bridge at Pen-Cinema Agege, the Light-up Lagos project amongst others.
For attracting all these projects to Ojokoro LCDA, I humbly express profound gratitude to our distinguished lawmaker,, on behalf of the good people of Ojokoro LCDA for his unrelenting efforts to take Ojokoro to the next level.
May God Almighty continue to give you more vigour and strength to represent us well.
Sir, as you commence your second term as our able representative in the State Assembly, I humbly urge you to continue with your agitation for more development projects for your constituency.
More importantly, you should kindly agitate for the speedy completion of all the on-going roads constructions in Ojokoro LCDA initiated by the last administration, as this would bring more dividends of democracy to the door steps of your constituents.
Moreover, it will be highly appreciated if you can agitate for the construction of the under listed roads across the seven wards in Ojokoro LCDA, by the State Government, in order for these roads to be motorable.

I also want to use this medium to Inform us that the plight and agonies being experienced by our pupils would soon come to an end as the LCDA has purchased a land for construction of Secondary school in Akinyele Street, Alakuko,while renovations are presently ongoing in most of our primary schools.
At this point, we are also requesting that the state Government should come to our aid by building the secondary school as students walk long distance to access the few senior secondary schools we have within the local council area.
In conclusion, let me assure you of the cooperation and support of our administration in Ojokoro LCDA towards the efforts to ensure effective and efficient representation at the State Assembly by our super representative, Hon Rasheed Makinde.
We will continue to partner with you to take Ojokoro LCDA to an enviable standard.
