HID REITERATES COMMITMENT TO WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon.Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID)has reiterated commitments to eradicate Poverty through skills acquisition training programmes and empowerment for the residents.

Hon H.I.D Tijani stated this during the closing ceremony of a week skills acquisition Programme for year 2019 where over 100 beneficiaries received certificates for successful completion of the training at the Council’s Secretariat.

The Council boss disclosed that part of the core values of his administration are to reduce poverty among the residents, provide adequate security and maintain healthy environment within Ojokoro LCDA.

He further promised to provide financial supports to enable the beneficiaries start up their business gradually and become self employed, while urging the public for continuous support of his administration, for greater achievements.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairperson of Ojokoro LCDA, Deaconess Motunrayo Tijani advised the beneficiaries to make adequate usa of the training programme, in order to be self reliance, dependable, contribute to their homes and impact knowledge acquired to others for societal development.

The supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA,Alhaja Basirat Ojugbele, commended the Council Chairman, Executive members, Legislative and Management of Ojokoro LCDA for the support towards the successful achievement of this year Skills Acquisition programme and urged all participants to improve on the training acquired to be successfully self employed and contribute their quota to the economic growth and development of Ojokoro LCDA.
