H.I.D : TWO YEARS OF QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY IN OJOKORO

The grassroot is said to be the closest to the citizens anywhere around the world, that is why Hon Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (H.I.D) led administration in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area which came on board on the 25th July, 2017 being the third democratically elected Executive Chairman of the Council, following his landslide victory which he recorded in the Local Government election held in 2017.

With the mission to reposition Ojokoro LCDA, to become a model to other Councils in Lagos State and bring dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the teeming populace of the LCDA, H.I.D, quickly swung into action in order to achieve all his electioneering campaign promises to the electorates.

So far, in the second year of his administration, the proactive and highly dynamic Council boss has recorded modest achievements in the areas of both human and infrastructural development, bringing rapid developmental growth and easy access to all the communities.

In the area of education the chairman took the bull by the horn immediately he assume office by visiting all public primary schools in Ojokoro to ascertain the problems and their needs respectively, he also made adequate health care service which one of the major concern of this present administration a priority in order to eradication of child and maternal mortality, this led to the Re-construction of Isokan the primary health care centre.

The Environment is not left out as, Hon Hammed Tijani is ensuring that the indigenes are living in an environment that is free from epidemic with major sensitization for zero tolerance to refuse dumping in unsolicited areas within the LCDA.

In the area of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Staff Welfare, Agric / Social Services, Sport and Youth Development, HID, being a responsible family man, is keenly interested, his administration is ensuring that smiles are being put on the faces of Ojokoro women, staff and youths with continuous skill acquisition and training programmes being organized to equip the women and youth within the LCDA not forgetting his collaboration with a German based football agent: Mike and Martins Football Scouts to organize a week football talent hunt.

In appreciation of the modest achievements recorded by Hon Tijani administration, he has received numerous awards and recognition from various corporate organizations and individuals, which include Leadership and Humanitarian award by Rotract club of Alagbado, Icon of Humanity by National Association of Students (NANS), Best ten Local Government Chairmen award by Media Mind Communications, Best Performing Local Government Chairman of the year (Infrastructural) 2018 by Lagos Ikeja City Award.
