COUNCIL BOSS CONDEMNS JUNGLE JUSTICE

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID) has condemned the act of people taking laws into their hands without following due process.

Tijani, who spoke on African Independent Television (AIT) live programme, KAKAAKI and RAY POWER radio programme blamed the act which us generally known as “jungle justice” on ignorance of the people who engaged in such unlawful act.

The council boss condemned the recent lynching of two suspected ritualist at Obadeyi Area, along Lagos / Abeokuta way in Ojokoro LCDA. He said that people should endeavour to find out the fact of any matter they take action to avoid punishing innocent people unnecessarily.

The Council Chairman (HID) also urged people in the Local Government Area to go about their lawful duties without any fear of intimidation or harassment as law enforcement agents are still investigating the issue of a suspected kidnappers’ den allegedly discovered in the area.
