BUDGET 2024 : OJOKORO LCDA ENGAGE STAKEHOLDERS IN CONSULTATIVE FORUM
Prior to preparation of the year 2024 budget proposal,in Ojokoro Local Council development Area a consultative forum of major stakeholders in the LCDA was organised recently.
The event held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Council’s multi-purpose hall was attended by top politicians, political office holders, artisans and representatives of various private and corporate organizations.
In his welcome address at the occasion, Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani highlighted some of the major achievements recorded in his administration’s second term in office.
Some of the infrastructural projects mentioned by the Chairman include rehabilitation of roads at Akibu Adeniji road at Jankara; Bioyin street; phase two of Nureni Yusuf Drive; Lamina Ganiyu street; Wilson Aghedo road; Ijaoye street; Puposola street; Amusan street and interlocking blocks at Felicia Coker street, while the construction of Asuku street with two sided drainage is still ongoing.
He also disclosed that renovation of blocks of classroom and roofing were carried out at New Oko-Oba primaty school.
The Council boss added that all the Primary Health Care (PHC) centres in the LCDA have been provided with modern medical equipment and qualified personnel to provide quality health care for the people of Ojokoro LCDA.
He therefore urged all the participants to contribute positively towards preparations for the 2024 budget in Ojokoro LCDA.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance at the consultative forum are members of the Council’s Executive Committee; Leader of Legislative Council, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle; Councillors; the Management team; former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. James Owolabi; former member, Lagos State House ofAssembly, Hon. Ahmed Omisore; traditional and religious leaders; artisans; market women and men; captains of industries amongst others.
Most of the stakeholders submitted demands for infrastructural projects in their various communities.
