2023 ELECTION: OJOKORO COUNCIL BOSS URGES RESIDENTS TO OBTAIN PVC
The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Hon. Hammed Idowu D. Tijani has urged residents of the LCDA to ensure that they obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), in preparation for the 2023 general election.
This advice was contained in a statement recently made available by the Chairman in his office at the Council’s secretariat on Bola Tinubu Road, Ijaiye-Ojokoro.
The Council Chief, popularly known as H.I.D by the people, disclosed that the PVC is the only power with which electorates can elect their choice leaders into office.
He further implored those who have attained the age of 18 years and above, but have not yet register to do so and collect their PVC ahead of the 2023 general election, to enable them exercise their civic rights during the election.
“Your PVC is the only power with which you can vote and be voted for, therefore every eligible resident of this Local Council must endeavour to register and obtain the card” he said.
Hon. Tijani also urged youths to participate more actively in party politics, as they are the country’s future leaders.
He equally promised that his administration would continue to bring more development and dividends of democracy to the people of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.
It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the continuous registration of eligible voters ahead of the 2023 general election.
