114 ROADS : OJOKORO COUNCIL BOSS FLAGS OFF CONSTRUCTION OF KUBURAT AGBEDEYI STREET.

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, Honorable Hammed Idowu D. Tijani, in compliance with the directive of Lagos state governor, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, has formally performed the ground breaking ceremony to flagg off the construction of Kuburat Agbedeyi Street at Alagbado area of the Council.
This marks a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to infrastructural development across the twenty (20) Local Government Areas and thirty 37 Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State.
The event which took place on Wednesday, 15th May, 2024, simultaneously in all the 57 Local Governments in the state symbolizes the commitment of the state and local governments’ Infrastructure agenda towards improving the quality of life for the people through enhanced roads network.
Kuburat Agbedeyi street, like many others earmarked for construction within a timeframe of six months, will undergo a comprehensive overhauling to ensure safety, accessibility and durability.
Honorable Hammed Idowu D. Tijani emphasized on the importance of this initiative, saying “our administration is fully committed to executing projects that directly impact the lives of our citizens positively”.
He concluded that the construction of Kuburat Agbedeyi street is a testament to his administration’s unwavering dedication to enhancing infrastructure and fostering socio-economic development within various communities in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.
It would be recalled that the construction of Kuburat Agbedeyi street is part of the larger scheme to construct 114 roads across various LGAs in Lagos state.
The initiative underscores Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu’s vision for a more sustainable and prosperous Lagos where every resident has access to quality infrastructure.
Both residents and stakeholders were encouraged to support and cooperate with the government and the contractor in order to ensure timely and successful completion of the project.
Dignitaries present at the event were Deputy Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Moruf Dauda; the Councillor representing Ward F, Hon Ayomide Benson; Secretary to the Local Government, Comrade Kolajo Omisore and Supervisor for the Environment, Hon Jamiu Odebiyi.
Others are Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Mr. Olakunle Olaore; Supervisor for Chieftaincy and Boundary Matters, Mr. Taofeek Animashaun; Special
Adviser on Market and Revenue, Mr. Kolawole Amosu; the Director of Works in the Council, Arc. Makinde Sunday; the Procurement Officer, Mr. Animashaun Kehinde and the Deputy Director Legal Services , Barr. Abel Bello amongst others.
